W7) Posting by Jihye Um (엄지혜)
In this wikipedia, it was posted about deviation.
What is deviant?
: Deviation means that act of deviation from the prescribed norms and institutions in society.
Deviation is divided into two types. It is classified as formal or informal.
1. Formal deviation: Crime - This is a violation of law established in the country.
ex) Robbery, assault, murder, etc.
2. Informal deviation: Tattoo - Violation of the law is not. However, the act of receiving criticism from the people. ex) Motorcycle racing at night
The distinction between whether the behavior is deviant behavior varies depending on time and place.
It was past deviations, currently, there is personality of the individual.
For example: miniskirts, tatto. - in the past, tattos has been recognized that only low-quality people.
But these days, a trend that is the tattoo to express personal faith or beliefs or individual.

There are various methods to analyze the deviation.
1. Function Theory - which each element of the society bearing the organic relationship. This deviation occurs when the stability of the values and norms collapse.
2. Conflict Theory - Society is divided into the ruling class and the ruled. This deviation is caused by ruled peple. The reason is that against the absurdity.
3. Interaction Theory - unlike the social tectonics not seen in the context of the social structure. That will see deviation occurs in the process of interaction with others.
I was deep in thought about the labeling theory of the 3-interaction theory.
I thought that you create to keep the deviation is determined to create a fleeting as deviants people.
I think that there is no objective criteria to define the deviation.
Except for a very unethical ( Informal deviation )
All acts can be a deviated or culture according to the belonging society.
In addition, the things we considered deviant it may not be deviated in the future!
This posting makes a lot of thinking about the "deviation".
