Introduction to Sociology : Deviance

-Through my perspective.

Prologue

Deviance means outside the range of action to allow. Deviance can be considered differently, even if the same behavior. Because community conform social norms.  In some places where this is not a problem at all but another places regard deviance behavior.
Therefore deviate is relative.

The Deviance of experience

For example,be pierced is not a deviance , the student which be pierced at school is regarded as a fringer. There are a variety of ways of analyzing the deviance. I was impressed by theory of labeling theory. Because when I was in elementary school, there was a friend who had heard angry to the teacher. Caused didn't the homework

That time I did not understand this kind of behavior. But it was deviance according to one stigma.
Labeling theory tends to other people branded him as deviants in the case of acting the deviant behavior.

The question of socialization

The theory is to see that the more deviant behavior because of labeling. Prejudice caused by labeling is prejudiced and not forgotten. People who are defined in the fringer accidentally not intended, which may also be regarded as forever to fringer.

However, there is no objective standard to define the fringer. Labeling theory which is based on symbolic interaction theory differs depending on the standard that define a fringer of the subjective person. Therefore, we are also wrong judgments about people. I always remember the labeling theory in the future, and vowed to be cautious when judging others.
