Summary

Socialization refers to the process of learning how to do in society to which they belong. And all socialization each different in dissimilar cultures (etc. race, class, gender, religion). Socialization is divided into primary, secondary socialization. Primary socialization is conducted in childhood, adolescence, and during this time human make their own identity. Secondary socialization is the socialization that was made when individual wants to belong to other groups. The more complex a society becomes, the greater the importance of it also. There are various theories dealing with socialization (role theory, symbolic interactionism, reinforcement theory, internalization theory). The similarity they have is that socialization is the self-develop "composed by learning for oneself”. Socialization is related to how people can adapt to society. However, in many cases the socialization unfulfilled well (Criminals is the one of the many case.) So, countries should provide institutions such as prisons, mental hospitals, mental clinic for this purpose. In addition, the case of children who socialized inappropriate ways emphasizes the importance of socialization.

Opinion

During this posting, I learned about what is 'Socialization'. And I thought socialization is very important because we should live for our lives in certain society. Socialization teaches people to appropriate action society wants to. And it made norm, rule, value and safety, solid society. In this point, I think socialization has aspect of 'Rationality'. the ideal person that society wants to is very various. So, it is a relative concept and never exist 'objective'. Thus, I think socialization is the convenient method society controls the people lived in here.

If ideal that society wants to were abused, Would the possibility socialization becomes new suppression method was existed?
