This weeks study about deviance.
Deviance is word that means behavior that violates culture norm, rule.
Deviance is devided into two types of categorization. One is formal deviance. The other is informal deviance.
Formal deviance is behavior that if people violate this, its behavior can be crime. Like murder, stealing.
Informal deviance is behavior that violating it is not trouble in laws, but can ba trouble in ethic. Like not say greetings to other people, throw away garbage.
And there is theories of deviance. These are Psychological Explanations, Social- Strain Typology, Structural-Funcionalism, Conflict Theory, Labeling Theory.
Psychological Expanations connect deviance with personal brain activity.
Social-Strain Typology tells that typology is a classification scheme designed to facilitate understanding.
Structural-Functionalism treat deviance like important role in society.
Conflict Theory tells that deviance can be tied to power, resource imbalances in society.
Labeling Theory is treated identities, role sets in society.

yeah,I also agree with your opnion. Structure-Functionalism is very interesting theory. but i think the theory is just rationalize to do deviance.
