Deviance

Summary

Deviation can be classified into two types. Formal departure and informal deviation corresponds to this. Formal deviation is law, rape, assault, etc... can be cited as an example. If you want to these deviations, it will be punished by law. Second, informal departure is an act in violation of the norms. Norms, can be if to be observed example of be well mannered.  This is a very relative in accordance with the legally defined culture does not mean was. If you broke it, it will not be legally punished, but it is possible to receive the booing of the people.
This article introduces the theory of which five related to departure.
1. psychological explanation: that the neuropsychological point of view from the human brain structure differences lead to the departure.
2. Social deformation type: mutton - social goal occurs to achieve legitimate means there is no divergence, deviation act occurs.
3. structure - function principle: deviation, it has given a positive impact on society. For example, to clarify the moral boundaries of society, at the expense of deviant individuals, and to induce the unity of the remaining members to fall into this category.
4. Collision Theory: deviations can result in an imbalance of social power and resources.
5. Labeling Theory: Taking stigma society the people that deviate once, the person who has been branded will be a departure act to continue.

Opinion

The most sympathy goes in the above theory is 5 brand theory. This is because there is a thing that was actually seen such a case while going to junior high school and high school. Once students have been branded as a problem child, a problem until graduation. The students who once bad act, avoid to recognize all of the teacher is always monitoring to it by the peripheral friends who also him as a problem child. In this way, branded, students will be to do what the hesitation without deviancy so as to consider itself as the problem child. This is a vicious circle.
