Summary

It was posted to tell about socialization. Socialization is learning that made to maintain relationships with people. Also there are three kinds of goals socialization

1.    impulse control and the development of a conscience

2.    role preparation and performance, including occupational roles, gender roles, and roles in institutions such as marriage and parenthood

3.    the cultivation of sources of meaning, or what is important, valued, and to be lived for

In other words, socialization is the process of raising the ability of community needs.

Socialization is generally divided into two parts: Primary and Secondary Socialization

Primary socialization occurs at an early age, such as children or teenagers and Secondary Socialization is socialization that happens for a person's life.

Also it divided Broad and Narrow Socialization. Broad socialization is intended to promote independence, individualism, and self-expression and narrow socialization is intended to promote obedience and conformity.

Read this posting, I could know about The Importance of Socialization. If children did not experience the primary socialization like feral children, then they can not experience secondary socialization.

And in Socialization, many theories to understandings of Socialization. For example, Symbolic Interactionism, Role Theory, Reinforcement Theory, Internalization Theory etc..

In Socialization and Social Class part, I know this!! according to the social classes, how parents raise their children. lower class parents were more likely to emphasize conformity in their children, and middle-class parents were more likely to emphasize creativity and self-reliance.

Through Marshall interviewed a number of retirement home residents, I know the Correlation that Socialization and Death Preparation.

 

Question

Why Japanese socialization is narrow socialization?

If so South Korea’s socialization is narrow socialization or broad socialization?
