Summary

Opinion
In part of ‘The important of socialization’, I’m interested ‘Critical Period Hypothesis (CPH)’. CPH is a argument that psychological characteristics or behavior should be acquired in specific period, if it is not acquired people can’t acquire since then. early education is prevalent in korea because of This critical period. So I know what this is a little bit, but I don’t know name of this phenomena. I’m surprised this hypothesis is popular especially in educational psychology and philology.
Also, I’m interested ‘symbolic interactionism’. I learned part of this theory when I was high school student. I thought it is quite valid. I agree a sentence of this reading that socialization is a continuous, lifelong process, and I feel I want more know this theory. I think it will be helpful to understand and define socialization.
Question
In part of ‘Theoretical understanding of Socialization’, l learn ‘Reinforcement Theory’. I’m very surprised content of this theory that human is negotiator for get benefits. I wonder that the theory consider human is socialized by only reward or punishment. it seems like just animals. in this perspective, What is difference between human and animal? I want to know about content of Reinforcement Theory.

Why do you think it seems like animals? Do animals socialize only that way? I think socializing by benefits is trait which can found only in humans. Because humans are more logically than animals.
