Summary

Politics is the rule people make in every human society. Politics have the power, authority and violence. Political power is a legitimate means of forcing the state has, not only in the limited cases country’s leaders. if different groups (terrorist organizations, multinational corporations) have this, its impact is unknown.

Authority gives legitimacy to exercise power. Max Weber has identified this authority into three (rational-legal, traditional, charismatic). Rational-legal authority is given directly to the people to exercise public power. It gives them legitimacy. Traditional authority mainly discovered where occurs the hereditary succession of power. Charismatic authority is obtained by taking themselves admit that they have a higher power to other people.

The government gained authority to the people. And the authority gave the power to induce the people in a particular direction. This power can repress people against the government. After all, a paradox arises that the power was given by the people can be used to oppress citizen.

Form of government varies from country to country. These are example monarchy (the United Kingdom, Thailand), democracy (the United States, South Korea), totalitarianism (Nazi), oligarchy (autocracy), communism (China, North Korea), theocracy (Byzantine Empire).

In a country that voting is allowed, unique phenomenon coupled with social factors also be observed. This is similar to the information that religion is related to various social factors.
In particular, according to their own values and political ideology, individual also opposed to each other. Sometimes there are extreme cases of conflict. So, when voting, there is a problem that discriminate candidate. this is the complex Democracy have.

Opinion

Reading this wikibooks, I learned one more the various socio factors were related to Religion and Politics. And I thought the reason why the paradox between Autority and Violence and the political values conflict occurs. Then, I concluded these question.

Question

I thought I'm agreed with the power that citizens give government was very important unless government were overuse it. But, I couldn't find the solution about ideology conflict. So, I study more about fundamental cause and the movement ordinary people can do.
