Race and Ethnicity
A race is kind that distinct people using some distinction.
Meanwhile, Ethnicity is social traits that are shared by a human population.
Some of the social traits are nationality, tribe, religious faith, shared
language, shared language and shared traditions.
From old times, there are many standards dividing race and many
scholars have been studying concerning races. There are two view about race.
One is a view that race is a social construct that based on artificial
distinctions made by people. The other is a view that race is based on biology
and genetics.
There are many types of Racism.: Individual-Level Racism, Structural
Racism, Cultural Racism, Historical Racism and so on.
Gender
There is
difference created by sociologists between gender and sex. Gender is concept
that is associated with society. Sex is concept that is associated with genetic
and biological factors. There are two types of sex/gender. One is Cis sex/gender
who correspond sex and biological sex and gender with sociology sex and gender.
The other is Trans sex/gender who doesn’t correspond sex and biology sex and
gender with sociology sex and gender. About sex/gender, it is important that to
note some clear physiological differences between men and women. These
differences reflect gender inequalities in society
There are two
detailed examples of socially constructed gender differences.: Work and
Occupations and education. Men usually earned more income that Women although
in modern society women educated like Men. And, for a long time, men had more
education than Women.
Sexism is
discrimination against people. There are four beliefs about Sexism. 1. There
are only two sexes. 2. One sex is superior to the others. 3. Men and Women are
very different and this should be strongly reflected in society. 4. Simple
hatred of men or women or trans people.
