Social theories with the present
<Social Movement& Collective Behavior>
My Misconceptions about Collective behavior
There was a discussion about Collective behavior in high school, and the small topic in the group was 'Is the group foolish?' I remember that the act of propagation such as Propaganda appeared to be driven into these groups at that time, and that the group was foolish. But when I saw this wikipedia data, it seemed that there was a change in my thinking.
Some Collective behavior theories
The theory of contagion is that the craze of the crowd is contagious like a disease, and that it grows with time. However, in this theory, it is said to be irrational because of the sense of fear and fire.
Convergence theory is the result of gathering individuals with the same ideas.
The Emergency - Norm Theory combines these two theories and argues that common emotions lead to behavior in the crowd. Research on collective behavior claims that most meetings are temporary.
However, I thought that the protests in Korea are not temporary, and I hope it will be done until the implementation of justice.
Another resource you gave me was about social movements.
The awareness of social movements reaches to the extremes in Korea.
It is supposed to be a noble social movement to defend democracy, while others misunderstand that espionage in North Korea has been agitated.
Social movement, present and question
The collective behavior and the materials that the professor gave me this time were very impressed with the current situation.
So I think I read this material harder than anyone.
It was amazing that there are many examples of social movements.
Our country has done a lot of social movements to win democracy, but we have learned that other countries are no match for us.
I learned that there are many theories in social movements.
The first theory of deprivation is to claim that they have their basis among those deprived of resources.
Mass society theory says social movements empower and provide a sense of belonging.
Resource-Mobilization theory claims that social movements develop when individuals with dissatisfaction can mobilize enough resources to take action.
Political process theory is similar in many respects to resource mobilization, but it tends to emphasize other components of social structure, political opportunities, which are important for the development of social movements.
Culture theory is based on both the political process and the theory of resource dynamics.
It was amazing because there are many theories that I do not know.
Here I have a question.
I would like to hear your explanation through the above theories about the Korean movement which is achieved in our country now?

I am very proud about the Korean movement.
