There are many things in the theory of social movements.

The theory of social movements includes Deprivation Theory, Mass-Society Theory, Structural-Strain Theory, Resource-Mobilization Theory, Political Process Theory, Culture Theory.

The resource mobilization theory emphasizes the importance of resources in the development of social movements.
However, the limitation of emotional problems by emphasizing only organizational activities.
Political process theory is similar to the Resource-Mobilization Theory.
However, there is a difference in the emphasis on political opportunities, organizational power.
In other words, political process theory is a theory that sees social movement as a political phenomenon rather than a psychological phenomenon.

2. my opinion

I has come to realize that there are various social movements in modern society.
I think the social movements that Giddens defines are well applied to modern society.

I think there are women movement and consumer movement in recent important social movements.
It did not exist in the past.

But as society began to change, it began to change gradually.
As society changes, there are increasingly diverse social movements.

I learned a lot about social movements.

  1. I agree with your opinion. The more society improve, the more people try to express their beliefs. So various social movements are created. I think so.
