Extra posting : What other gendered cultural symbols can we think of ? (by Jihye Um)

What other gendered cultural symbols can we think of ?

An example of a cultural representation of a woman is China's foot-binding

What is foot-binding ?

:  foot-binding is a custom of Chinese people who thought their small feet were a beautiful woman in China.
In the past, the Chinese regarded women with little feet as symbols of beauty.
So the women forced their feet into smaller shoes and forced them to step down.
These foot-binding make a lame gait of the feet, making them lame. It is said that Chinese men liked this kind of thing.
