(Link 2)
Conflict Theory is that individuals and groups are struggle to maximize own resource such as power, wealth, goods and so on. this struggle always lead to conflict and competition, and it is inevitable. human interaction is result of conflict, Also conflict can change society. if everyone have enough resource, conflict would not occur.
Opinion
The causes of war listed Link 1 are quite valid. Especially, I think that causes of war are result of ideological pursuit and economical interests. War occur for keeping and spreading their own ideology or getting more benefits than others. We can think it is national egoism. War may occur as a result of national egoism.
And, I think we can explain rebellion through Conflict Theory. People raise a rebellion because resources are divided unequally in society. It can be seen as individual’s egoism.
National egoism and Individual’s egoism, those confuse society nationally, and internationally. We should break down these thought.
Question
In a part of Link 1 Anthropological theories, there is a sentence that ‘If human societies could be reformed, war would disappear’. Also, in a part of Link 1 Psychological theories, there is a sentence that ‘human being, are inherently violent’. I think basically human have violence. So then, I wonder human societies can’t be improved, and war can’t be disappeared. How do you think about it?

I also think that humans have an intrinsic nature of violence.
ReplyDeleteBut human beings are social animals and have the ability to put off their violent nature.
Rather than resorting to violent nature in the event of a conflict, responding with rational thoughts can lead to the disappearance of war and the development of society.
