Introduction to Sociology : conflict theory and war
-Through my perspective.
Prologue
and They think that individuals are in a competitive relationship.
Society is always changing with conflicts, and conflicts contribute to social development.
Conflict arises because there is always disorder in society.
Conflict theory, therefore, sees conflict as a universal phenomenon rather than an abnormal one.
Thus, conflict theory emphasizes that society is not well integrated and is not a well-organized system. All societies are maintained by some members repressing and forcing others.
Social problems arise from the oppression and exploitation of the rulers, and we see that the relations between the various parts of society are more competitive than collaborative.
My thoughts about war
According to Conflict Theory, conflict is a stepping stone to a better society.
I wondered if the war, one of the most intense conflicts, would also lead to a better society.
War also plays a role in spreading new knowledge by the meeting of society and society. From any point of view, it can lead to the development of technology by causing changes in society.
An example of this is the development of an airplane.
After World War I, aviation technology has made tremendous progress.
If it was not a war, the flight skills might have stayed in place. Unlike cars, airplanes are dangerous and difficult to popularize. But it must be a powerful weapon in war.
In this way, war creates a new medical theory or technique in a special situation that is not normally expected.
But war causes both physical and mental harm to war participants and civilians.
And because of the use of deadly weapons in our bodies for victory, it has made our lives a wreck.
In Korea, 95% of the land was destroyed by the Korean War, and 990,995 civilians were killed.
I see the benefits of part of the war, and I do not think that war should lead to the development of society. But the result of the war seems to make our lives worse rather than advantageous.

ReplyDeleteWow, I like your thought about war. It was very interesting.
ReplyDeleteAs you mentioned, we wonder about that the wars really make development to society because the wars leave many of casualties and mental harms. But, ironically, we learn something through wars. Technologies, for example, such as chemistry (through chemical warfare), cosmesis and medicine (through treating physical harmed people), aeronautics (as you mentioned) are results of wars. Also, as you learned at history of movies, after world war 1, people make new thinks and changes.
I don’t like wars but the important thing is after war actions. To avoid wars, people learn about wars. When we learned about wars, we feels that the results of wars are terrible and people’s pains so in conflict situation, solution of war is bad. I think that’s why we learned about wars.
I agree Conflict theory.
ReplyDeletePeople start a war. Maybe they are many gain, and many lost every things.
So they do that. They can develop themselves.
I think conflict can lead to the development and change of society.
ReplyDeleteBut I do not think conflict is the best way to develop society.
Because society can develop through positive ways of harmony and cooperation.
