Races are the human population that is believed to be distinct from other people in terms of physical differences. Ethnicity refers to a social trait that is shared by the human population rather than by physical characteristics: nationality, tribe, religious faith, shared language, and so on.

#Prejudice, Bias, and Discrimination
Prejudice can refer to a formation of judgment without a direct or practical experience and learning. Prejudice may not translate into discrimination. Discrimination is the actual mistreatment of a group or individual, which is based on some criteria and characteristic. Bias refers to post-judgments or beliefs and viewpoints which are derived from experience that maintain unfair or stereotypical perspectives on a group of people.

#Racism
Racism is widely perceived as an affront to the basic human dignity and human rights abuses. Racism may be expressed individually and consciously or socially and unconsciously.

#Gender vs. Sex
Gender refers to a social position that is recognized or projected within the culturally established designations between male and female actions. Sex is the distinction of biological sexuality, which has the anatomical characteristics of the body

2_Mention & Question about this week study.

When I was young, I didn't know much about racism, and I knew there was a time when black people were discriminated against. Also when I was young, I thought it was not a prejudice that my parents bought me pink clothes and gave me a doll. But as I grow up, I realize how bad these unjust discriminatory behaviors are and how they are in our lives.
I wonder why people don't respect and accept people's appearance. If people can do so, I think discrimination in our society can be alleviated somewhat. I hope we all pay close attention to each other's differences and not discriminate against the difference.

Thanks for reading my posting : )

  1. I laughed when I was young and the women exercised.
I also had a sense of dislike of pink clothes. I think this should not be recognized since I was a child.
