Why is terrorism seen as such a danger. if so few people have been affected by it?

My opinion

I do not think that the number of deaths affects the magnitude of the risk. In the end, it is important that people die. Assuming that a person who claims that the number of people is proportional to the risk was killed by terrorism,
Can he claim that The number of people is proportional to the risk?
No one knows who will be the victim. I think it is a bad idea to discuss the amount of risk in situations where we might be a victim.

Q: Why is terrorism seen as such a danger. if so few people have been affected by it?

A: Terrorism does not know where and when it will happen.

And the damage to terrorism is severe.

so people feel insecure.

Another reason is the media.
his is because the news is reported seriously and repeatedly when terrorism is reported.
People hear these stories all day long.
This increases fear.

Q: Why fewer women enroll in college/university in the korea than men?

A: It is because of social awareness that women's academic is not more important than men.

Therefore a women has a job rather than going to college.

Another reason for this is the development of science and technology.
Men are more talented in science and technology than women.

Universities increasingly focus on science and technology and teach these areas.
Therefore, engineering colleges are increasing.

Men usually these college.
Therefore, the male university entrance rate is higher than that of female students.

Q) Laws are sand, custom are rock. Laws can be evaded, punishment escaped but  and openly transgressed custom brings sure punishment. - What did Twain mean by that?

When we look sands, we can find there is so many space between each sands. Rock, however, has no space that something can enter.
So, following the Twain's said, laws have cracks that man of power can use that escaping punishment. In the near country, Korea, we can see the example of this. Mandarins can change laws to the way that has advantages to themselves. And most rich people evade laws easily.
But custom, different from laws, is a power that man of power can't escape. Because custom is order from ancestor, all people in country that have custom believe custom is rule that should never be broken.

Q) Why is terrorism seen as such a danger, if so few people have been affected by it?

The risk of terror is related with all people in country regardless of dead.
If one terror kill some people, but other people get indirect effect. They feel fear and panic. It leads people to trouble and makes distrust. And this finally affect entire society. Approval rating of government will be down, so society get counfusion and economy will be depressed.

Q. Write about the legal changes improving the situation of women in South Korea in the past 30 years.

I will introduce the legal changes improving the situation of women, from the standpoint of home, society, and state.

First, at home,
Children can follow their mother's last name.
In the past, we have inherited the father's unconditional family.
But if there is a reason now, you can follow your mother's last name.

The second,
In a company, a woman can use maternity leave.
There are many career women in society.
So there is a law in the company to help women who are pregnant or giving birth.

Finally, the state created gender equality law.

This law was enacted in 1995 and was amended in 2014.

Q. Why is terrorism seen as such a danger, if so few people have been affected by it.

R.
I think,, It is important that people are close to terrorism and feel it realistic.
So media like news and sns play an important role.

Even if few people have been affected by it,
The media often show those who died in terrorism,
People feel that terrorism seen as a danger.

People get up in the morning and see terrorism damage in the news.

When this happens, people think of terrorism in everyday life due to media.

Introduction to Sociology/Family & Aging

# Family

1)
We usualy think of the term 'famlily' as a domestic group of people. But, nowadays, various types of family appeared. As time goes by, these types become different and These types can be different from culture.
Functions of families are to reproduce society, to socialize children and to faciliatate social, economic and interpersonal support networks.
In some countries such as ancient egypt, hawaii and inca royalty, marriage between brothers and sisters allowed because there are limits of exogamy.

2) Life Cycle of Family

Courtship involves dating, getting to know each other and process of prepare engagement. In modern society, courtship can happen without contact as development of technology and Internet. There are various ways of courship which is formal, matchmaker and chosen from parents.
Marriage is social and legal promise between male and female. Wedding is a ceremony to celebrate marriage. People marry with many reasons: to indicate their love clearly, legitimizing procreation and sexual relationships, stability of economy and nurturing children. Some countries legally permitted polygamy and same-sex marriage.
Children behavior can form by nurturing environment. For example, nurturing from polygamy family and step-family children have some behavior problems.
Divorce rates are now increasing over time as many reasons. first, gender equality in women increases by divorcing. second, through divorce, people can be released from unhealthy and unhappy marriage. third, Easy divorce are established by law. Lastly, Increasing of women rights and the entry of women in public affairs.
Death and Widowing

3) Families and Inequality

There are gender inequalities in family; if male and female divorced, mostly women had disadvantages. Also, race, ethnicity and religion inequalities in famiy also exist.

# Aging

1) Aging is sociological and biological stage-one individual becomes older.
= Stage: infancy-toddler-childhood-adolescence-young adult-prime adulthood-middle age-old age

2) Ageism is unacceptable behaviour and discrimination by age.
- mistreatment of young people: there are some limits such as ban drinking alcohol or smoke.
- mistreatment of elderly people: 'Elder abuse' is serious social problems and discrimination of elderly people usually occured because of stereotypes of them and misunderstandings.

3) Elder people are more poor than any other age groups. Among elder people in poverty, female elder age groups are poorer than male elder age groups. Also, rates of elder abuse are different from race. Blacks are more damaged in abuse.

I recommend you to watch this video.
With simpson characters, you can easily understand about family

Well, through this chapter, I get to know various types of families exist.

This video tells about 'aging' with images.
I wonder why elder people are more poor and as rates of elder people increase, I believe laws or policies should be established.

Q. why fewer women enroll in college/university in korea than men? _ KIMJIEUN(김지은)

The corporate often tend to employ men than women.
Although women get a bachelor's degree, they is hard to be employed.
Also, women have difficulty in promotion.
Therefore, they give up enrolling college or university.
Then, they often study official exam or go company that don't need to have bachelor's degree.

And, the tradition forces women to marry early without working.
So, some women don't go college or university and marry in early 20s.

In another idea, this graph is old.
Now 2016 but, this graph is emerged until 2010.
Figures of 2016 might be different.

[Why fewer women enroll in college/university in korea than men?]

In korea, there are some thinking that women is more better marry with rich men than learning or working. elder people mostly have this thinking. They make women hard to enroll college/university, even have a job. So many women give up more learning.

[Why is terrorism seen as such a danger, if so few people have been affected by it?]

Terrorism has obvious murder intention and its target is numerous people. Others are mostly mistake, accident or inattention, not on purpose.
Terrorism less affect people than others because it does not happen frequently, But its force on single outbreak is very powerful, so people think it is more danger than others.

Yes!! With the increase of foreign workers and international marriages, Korea became a multi ethnic nation. Despite this situation, however, it has not yet come to the people's perception. From the past, Koreans preferred and emphasized a single ethnic consciousness. However, now that globalization has come, there is a need to discard this recognition and pursue diversity.

1.Why is terrorism seen as a such a danger, if so few people have been affected by it?

Because we can not know where and when terrorism will happen,
The unspecified majority have felt fear and alertness.
And if it happens, it could die. People feel more fearness.
Also, frequent terrorism is enough to make the whole society alertness.
So terrorism should not happen.

2.Why fewer women enroll in college university in Korea than men?

There are still stereotypes about men and women in society. For example.
'A man has to have a job and a woman has to concentrate household  rather than a job'
'men and women are promoted differently after employment'(Glass ceiling)
Still, these factors remain prevalent in society.
So It seems that the results of university enroll to school are different.

Extra posting :what other gendered cultural symbol can we think of?

I think clothes style and make up symbolize gender. For example, most women often wear skirts. But when a man wears a skirt, most people feel awkward and look at it with strange eyes. Most people do imagine a female child and do not imagine a male child when asked to imagine a child with a ribbon headband. Like this, the style like the accessory shows the gender. The makeup culture is the same. Men do not have mascara or eye line on their eyes like women. Except for a few men.

Extra posting :Why is terrorism seen as a such a danger, if so few people have been affected by it?

Terror threatens us no matter how many people die.Because it is unpredictable. People suddenly panic and fear because of the sudden rise in daily life. And there is fear that does not know when to happen. If terrorism is predictable like natural disasters, people may not be much affected by terrorism. But terrorism gives us fear and fear because we do not know when and where it will happen.
Also, there are many ordinary people who are targeted by terrorists. So it is a fear that anyone can be the target of terrorism. There are terrorists targeting specific people, but most of the damage is for ordinary citizens, for example, walking on the roadside, walking the dog.  Therefore, we can always be targets of terrorism and can not be predicted.

Q. Wht is terrorism seen as a such a danger, if so few people have been affected by it?

A.
terrorism creates a social atmosphere.
People think that accidents such as traffic accidents and heart attacks can be avoided if they care    carefully about what they care about.
However, because terrorism can be taken care of, terrorist attacks should be avoided and inevitable if terrorists take place wherever they are.
So, when there is no knowing where terrorist attacks happen, people will shake terror attacks.

Summary)

1.Family

A family is a group of people who are connected by blood, ties, and adoptions. We generally think of the nuclear family, but the form of the family is very diverse. It is not necessarily a family if it is genetically linked. Pets can also be included in family forms.
Let's take a look at the picture.
http://www.fpcgrapevinevet.com/

As time and culture change, the meaning of the family has changed. So defining a family is not easy.
Family also has various functions. Among them, procreative families have always been given preferential treatment.
It is because the procreative family gives birth to a baby through childbirth, socializes the child and it is the driving force that develops society.
Nowadays, however, there are more families who do not give birth due to changes in social awareness. Family life cycle is courtship, child, marriage, divorce, and widow. And the partner's death means the end of the marriage.
Inequality also exists in family relationships. Mostly women experience this a lot. Because women are forced to have many defects in their work because of childbirth. Improving the quality of women's education can be a solution.

2.Aging

If we define the word aging as a social meaning, Aging refers to an increase in the proportion of elderly people in the total population as the number of elderly people increases.
Biologically speaking, it is simple. It is just getting old.
That's right. Human beings are experiencing sociological aging and biological aging and realizing the value of life. That's how it evolves.
If set the stage of human life in stages,
Infancy, Toddler, Childhood, Adolescence, Young adult, Prime adulthood, Middle age
, Old age.
The expected role of each stage is determined by society and culture.
This can also be seen as a bias. There are also age groups that are discriminated against because of such prejudices. Most young people will not experience it. The elderly suffer discrimination in various ways as well as physical.

My opinion)

Yes. The concept of family is always changing. I am now getting closer to thinking about marriage. I am now a precious child of my parents, I have to consider that I can be a parent. I felt the feeling of becoming an adult in this posting. Is that aging? Until recently, I was an age group of youth, and now I am both legal(Korean law) and physical. It is both strange and scary. Now, as a grown man, I have to work hard and have a responsibility!

Q1. Why fewer women enroll in college university in Korea than men?

I think it's because just female is fewer than male. I got this numerical statement from Korea national statistical office (http://kostat.go.kr/portal/korea/index.action) . Important ages are 15-19, 20-24. Because at that age, almost people go university. Following that data, sex ratios in 15-19, 20-24 are higher than 100. It means that female is fewer than male. So fewer females enroll university than male. It's natural.
Also, I don't think it's because of sexual discrimination. In Korea, sexual discrimination exists yet but discrimination in education got smaller. Girls take same opportunity of education even if family have less money.

The Cause of war

Summary

In this text, it summarize about lots of theories "How to look Wars."
Five theories are suggested about wars.

1. Psychological theory : They said "People are violent." Violence oppressed in everyday life is jetted out for certain reasons. It is called "War"

2. Anthropological theory : It is war that happens due to the whim of the leaders. So, people can prevent war through learning and reform.

3. Information theory : Lack of information of each other causes war. If they have enough information about who will be win and who will be lose in war, they will not fight.

4. Economic theory : War is kind of riches' business.

5. Marxist theory : War is resistance of proletarian. War will not end before they win.

Question

I have a question at Information theory. How they can explain the resistance to Japan of Korea?
When Japan rule Korea, many Korean resist to Japan army although they have enough information about strangth of Japan army.

Q. Why fewer women enroll in college university in Korea than men?

A. There is a social need for a man to settle down socially and economically.
On the contrary, women are less burdened by economic success than men
because they can also transform their workforce through the system of marriage.
In particular, there is a perception that universities will be successful in Korean society.
Consequently, males have higher college entrance rates than women.
It is because they are more burdened by economic success.

#Summary

#1 Family

Defining Families
This notion of parents and children as family is called a nuclear family and is a recent invention of the Western World that has (in some cases) been sold as a form of "tradition." It is a social construct that does not necessarily reflect the reality of family life for many people. What many people consider a family is not the only family form; families are diverse in both form and function.

-Cultural Variations
There is substantial variation in family forms around the world, varying from culture to culture. Factor that leads to cultural variations in relationships tied to family forms is attitudes toward endogamy.

-Changes Over Time
The development of horticultural or agriculture-based societies fundamentally changed the nature of marriage and family forms built around it. Among the aristocratic elite, marriage became a means of developing alliances or amassing wealth. For the non-elites, marriage was a pragmatic way of supporting oneself: it was easier to survive if resources (i.e., food, labor power, childcare responsibilities, etc.) were pooled between several people.

Families and Theory
-The Function of Families
The primary function of the procreative families (e.g., families built around the pursuit of parenthood) is to reproduce society, biologically through procreation, socially through socialization, or in both ways. In modern societies marriage entails particular rights and privileges - for those allowed to marry - that encourage the formation of new families even when there is no intention of having children.

-The Sociobiology of Families
These sorts of restrictions are a form of exogamy. This privilege was denied commoners and may have served to concentrate wealth and power in one family.

The Family Life Cycle
-Courtship
Courtship is the traditional dating period before engagement and marriage (or long term commitment if marriage is not allowed).

-Marriage
Marriage is a governmentally, socially, or religiously recognized interpersonal relationship, usually intimate and sexual, that is often created as a form of contract.

-Children
Kids raised in families with only one parent or with step-parents are more likely to have behavior problems than are kids raised with parents that remain connected throughout the child's life course.

#2 Aging

Aging is Both Biological and Sociological
Aging is a complex process of subjective biological and social realities intertwined with relatively objective biological and social standards that shift within and between historical and cultural periods.

Dividing the Lifespan
Infancy
Toddler
Childhood
Adolescence
Young adult
Prime adulthood
Middle age
Old age

Socially Constructed Interpretations of Aging
The activities that are expected of one at different ages is also socially constructed and relative to culture.

Differential Treatment by Age or Ageism
-Treatment of the Young
While most people are aware of the mistreatment of the elderly (see below), few people seem to realize that young people are often subjected to discrimination because of their age. Another way in which the young are treated differently is in the marketing practices of corporations.

-Treatment of the Elderly
The higher risk of death associated with elder abuse effects both those who are physically and cognitively impaired and those who are more capable.

Age and Income
The elderly were the poorest age group in the U.S. Social Security (technically Old-Age, Survivors, and Disability Insurance or OASDI) is an income redistribution program that takes taxes from those working and distributes it to those who cannot work or who are elderly enough to be considered past the age at which they can retire.

Age and Gender
While the elderly have seen substantial improvements in their economic situation in recent decades, those improvements have not equally affected men and women. Women, whether working or not, are more likely to fall below the federal poverty line than are men.

#Mention&Question

In this class, I learned a lot of discrimination in our society. Before topic is also interesting, but I am interested in this week's topic. Because family and aging is closely in everyday life. Defining of family is changing during changing of our society. Increasing divorce and remarriage, new form of family is showed up. Multicultural family and reconstituted family is more appeared in our society. But, although these form of family is increasing, people look at them with a jaundiced eye. We learn we should open our mind to them. But reality is not. They belong to disadvantaged people.
And My question is arise in this context. Why they are discriminated in society, though those family is increasing?

First, the cause of this phenomenon is because of outdated-thinking. In the past, Korean people think that men have to educate but women have to do household affair. This thinking can be considered discrimination for women.
Second, the cause of this phenomenon is because of complacency. From the past, Korean people have been think that women have to get married into a good family. Because of this thinking, women tend to not enroll in college or university.
Third, usually men are more suitable to engineering science than women. In Korea, engineering science is considered more important and ratio of engineering college is higher than college of liberal arts. I think that this phenomenon is phenomenon just by difference of propensity between women and men.
Finally, many korean people think that men should to earn more money than women. This thinking can be considered discrimination for men.

Extra posting : Why fewer women enroll in colleage university in korea than men?

This because parents have more expectations for their male offspring.

Because men consider their family members to be more important, they place more emphasis on men's education.

This is why the man college entrance rate is higher than women.

Extra Posting By Ko Min Jin: Why fewer women enroll in college unoversity in Korea than men?

It is because of the thought that has been going on since the past. In Korea, from the past male were more educated than female. Therefore, this idea still remains in people thought. Men must take responsibility for they family. So they must come to the university to do so. Then mwn can get a job fast.

Extra Pointing )Why fewer women enroll in colleage university in korea than men?

Once a man is more populated. In the past, men often wanted to go from home to university. On the other hand, women's academic achievement was often ended in middle school.
Also, mathematics plays an important role when I look at it. Man has developed mathematical ability. So, when I look at the scholastic ability test, the abilities of Korean and English are similar, but men have a little more advanced mathematical ability.
I also think that it is less because of the tension of the man during the scholastic ability test so it gets better score.

I think it is why fewer women enroll in college/university in Korea than men.

1. SUMMARY

#FAMILY

Traditional and general Meaning of family is the group of kinship such as relatives marriages. But today, type and meaning of family are increased as development of society. Forms of family are various. Pet can be family. Collection of orphans can be family. The structure of family is different as society. Some society accepts a monogamy. Some society accepts a polygamy. Some society accepts polyandry.
Family divided into two types.(Procreative family and non-procreative family)
The primary function of the procreative family is reproduction of society.
In other cases, family establish legal parenthood of a child and gains control over sexual services or property and so on. The primary function of the non-procreative family is to facilitate interpersonal support networks and to pursuit property and to claim some of the rights. Traditionally, courtship is that man and woman date before marriage. But meaning of courtship changes as the time goes on. Today, courtship is very frank notion. Also, meaning of marriage changes as the time goes on. In the past, government or religion intervene in marriage. But in today, people can marriage with inter contract. In family with only one parent or step-parents are more tend to have behavior problems. Kid whose fathers are more involved in kid’s lives is less tend to have behavior problems.
In the past, divorce was needed very cautious decision making. But, in todays, divorce is very frequent. Today, there are many types of family.: One-Parent Households, Cohabitation, Same-Sex Unions and so on.

#AGING

To human, aging is biological and sociological process. Standard about youth and old are different as each society. Ageism is prejudice that usually targeted the young and elderly. For example, Young people have no ability to vote in election and restrict to smoke and to drink. In today, aging is very serious problem. The social security program for elderly brings poverty of young and causes job crunch.

2.MENTION AND QUESTION

I think that 'Kid whose fathers are more involved in kid's lives is less tend to have behavior problems.' this sentence have no validity. If fathers attacked their kid, kid would have more problem. It is not important that no matter who involve in kid's lives. It is important that how to involve in kid's lives. It is the same in step-parent. What is your opinion about this?

What is Aging?

Summary

This article shows about aging. This article shows differential treatment by age and elderly discrimination. I'm really sick of this part. Why should we receive differential treatment with such elements? Also, old people do not receive solid income. I really can not understand.

 Mention & Question

When I wrote this post, I was interested in aging. Because i was usually interested in inequality. I am still very young. So, I have never been discriminated because of my age. However, this problem is a part that must be resolved. Because I will become an old someday. When they were the young, they struggled hard for their society. We should not discriminate against them. If you continue with this custom, later we will also receive discrimination. What do you think?

Foreign workers also live in Korea. It can be said that Korea has already become a multi-ethnic nation, considering that various foreigners have already lived in Korea.

Extra Posting By Ko Min Jin: What other gendered cultural symbol can we think of?

The gender culture I think is in language. For example, when talking about a job, a 'police' is usually called a 'police man'. Also, in many media, 'nurses' are mostly women, and 'doctors' are mostly men. Also, cheerleaders are all women. The gender culture can be seen in these various terms.

1) The best memorable content in Week13: 'Family'

What is a family? We are all members of the family. We can not all be born alone. In order for any life to occur, parents are needed and they form a family. So how far can we say 'family'?

We can question the basic concept of a family. As mentioned in this link, can anyone who shares blood say it's a family? If so, is not the family adopted? I can not answer that accurately. There are so many variations of "family" today that it is hard to define what, exactly, a family is. This is a very complex and diverse problem that can not be easily defined. And this is 'variable' according to the times. For example, in the past, they did not recognize homosexuals and therefore did not recognize them as family forms.
However, as the times change and the values of people change, in some countries, in some countries, homosexual families are legally recognized. And in the past, one-person households were not classified as family, but one-person households are recognized as family members. As the number of single-family households increases and the social-atmosphere is not married among young people. In addition, the form of family varies from culture to culture. In other words, there is substantial variation in the forms of the world. For example, most countries at present are 'monogamy'. But in some other countries of the exception is 'polygamy'. In other words, the form of family is not the same throughout the world, but the form of family changes according to the form of culture that the country recognizes and accepts.
The meaning of 'family' also changes over time. For example, Pairing off into formal or informal relationships originated in hunter-gatherer groups. Intermarriage between groups, tribes, or clans was often political or strategic and in reciprocal obligations between the two groups represented by the marital partners. Over time, horticultural or agriculture-based societies developed and changed the nature of marriage and family forms built around it. Through these developments, marriage became an economic and political means. They have accumulated their wealth through marriage and have been able to live a more affluent life economically. Another example is the family form of Rome. Rome was a patriarchal society as in the past. In other words, men became the center of the family and could have many rights. On the other hand, a married woman must obey her husband and help him. Thus, from the past to the present, various forms of family existed, and the meaning of the family varied from generation to generation.
Families also play an important role. There is a child through childbirth. And the child becomes 'socialized' through the family. In other words, it has been continuously socialized from the parents since childhood, and it plays an important role in forming the character, self, habit, and values of the child. People who can not go through socialization properly from their families will not be able to live because they can not adapt to the society. People also have a sense of psychological, economic, and emotional stability in their homes. And through marriage, they have various duties and rights, such as the obligation to support their children, and their economic duties. Families can be legally recognized through marriage.  Men and women are loved, married. They live together as a couple and live in a variety of social functions.

But marriage causes multiple inequalities. For example, sexual inequality. Women and men marry under agreement. But woman much more to give up than men. For example, when a woman becomes pregnant, it is difficult to work. She must rest or quit her job to childbirth. In addition, after childbirth women have a lot of situations that makes her work harder.

After all almost women are more likely to give up their jobs than men after giving birth. Women also have a much higher amount of labor than men in housework or parenting.

 2)My mention in this link.

So, in this link, I studied 'family'. The question of the basic concept of the family, the meaning of the family, the role of the family, family and sexual inequality are the keywords of this link that I think. Families are a very socially important group. They can exist through their families, be socialized, and live safely in their own society. Today we recognizes various forms of family, and there are several forms of family. All of us are already members of the family, and we will be living another family in the future. In the society, we will live up to our social, legal, political and economic obligations.

What is a family's social role?

Summary

1)Family
Families are formed through 1. a common ancestor, 2. marriage, 3. adoption, and 4. other relationships. We usually think of the family as a community of mothers, fathers, and children. However, in recent years, this social structure have begun to change.
Also, the way in which family relations are structured is culturally diverse. For example, there are monogamy (the most common), polygamy (polygyny, polyandry) and polyamory. There are also attitudes toward endogamy that require relationships with specific groups as a factor in diversifying family relationships culturally. There are also customs that cultures share. (exogamy)
The most basic role that a family performs is to reproduce children as a member through socialization. From a child's perspective, a family is ‘a family of orientation’. From a parent's point of view, the family is ‘a family of procreation’.
(The family life circle)
Courtship
It is a dating period before marriage. During this time, couples know about each other and decide to marry. This can be done without personal contact. It also exists in various ways depending on the times and regions.
Marriage
Marriage means sexually intimate interpersonal relationships governmentally, socially, and religiously. The marriage we commonly know is between men and women. However, as mentioned above, various forms of marriage exist on each culture.
Children
Many scholars have studied children even before. For example, there are many researches like 'the children of one parent have more behavioral problems', 'parents' influence is weaker in choosing children's mates ',' the degree of autonomy in raising children ',' Economic status ".
Death and widowing
It means the end of the marriage of two people, and on the other hand means the opportunity of remarriage.
2)Aging
Aging means the process a person matures socially and biologically. The process from infancy to old age can be considered as the process of aging. There are also many ways in which people see aging. In the West, youth is considered the best value. However, in the East, aging is regarded as a symbol of wisdom and interpreted more positively than Western. In addition, the criteria for distinguishing young and old are also different from society to society. That is, this is a relative concept. Age can also be a criteria to discriminate people. Ageism exists at every stage of youth, old. There is discrimination due to youth, and there is discrimination due to aging. In society, the income of older people is relatively small. While efforts are being made to address the poverty of the elderly, such as welfare through taxes, it is still impossible to make a complete resolution. There is also much research on the relationship between various factors such as gender, sexuality, and race. The average age is increasing worldwide. However, this does not show ratio inequality between countries.
Opinion&Question
Learning this reading, I'm surprised the many results that research family and aging sociologically like correlation between social factors ( inequality, race, gender, income, culture, social problems).
And I'm interesting two points. One is The family life circle. this explains the family's circulation like organism. I think this point is similar to Functionalism theory.
The other is the part of 'aging and income'. this teaches me three  is realistic solution to resolve erdely poverty. But, I'm sad to this is completely remove the inequality. Of course, there is nothing complete. I'm hope to the problem is modified hurry.
Finally, I have a question about family. In this reading, I learned there are various form cosists of family. And I heard this includes minority that has outlawed group. Then, How can solve the identity problem that made by culture's diverse?

Q. What other gendered cultural symbol can we think of?

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/ff/HOUSEWIFE_IN_THE_KITCHEN_OF_HER_MOBILE_HOME_IN_ONE_OF_THE_TRAILER_PARKS._THE_TWO_PARKS_WERE_CREATED_IN_RESPONSE_TO..._-_NARA_-_558298.jpg

I think 'housewife' is a gendered cultural symbol.
In the case of Korea, there are many households in which women almost complete housework even though they are working together.

I think housework is a gendered cultural symbol that stereotypes of what women do.
Most housekeepers in Korea are described as women wearing aprons.

This should be improved because it can strengthen stereotypes.
