W3

I was interested in subcultures and countercultures. In society, there is whole culture that most people follow. For example, people don't smoke in non-smoking area. Under whole culture, there are subcultures that only few people follow it.

Countercultures are also sort of subcultures. There are subcultures that follow whole culture but also there are subcultures that get out from whole culture. That is counterculture.
Countercultures sometimes cause problems in society. For example, biker gangs threaten other drivers, pedestrians. But it sometimes lead sociological development. For example, Queer festivals make people think about homosexuality one more time. And it can lead change of thinking about homosexuality.
I thought why people make countercultures. They may be want to change society or just want to disobey whole culture. If they want to change society, they can make change in society but they can make hostility from other people. I want to hear other opinion about this.

In religion link, I read about definitions,theories, and future of religion. Also I read about religion and other social factors.
I feel interested in religion&gender. In link, religion made gender inequality so women have felt discrimination in society. It occured in Korea, too. In past, confucianism was predominant in Korea. Because of confucianism, Patriarchal property existed in Korea society. People prefer boys than girls, and girls are socialized to obey men's opinion.
But problem is patriarchal property remains in our society yet. Modern women receive damages in school, corporation, house. People have to change their perception to all humans are equal. It is also relevant to human race and so on..
