It's started by defining about "Culture". Culture is things like the environment that influence to shape our identity except nature factors. Of the things, "Language" is part that can't exclude when speaking about culture. Language continually change. Accordingly, culture also change. In culture, it doesn't exist concept that "be wrong" but exist the concept that "be different". Thus,
when anthropologists deal with difference between cultures, they are wary of treating not only biological approach but, superiority between cultures.

Sociologists don't discuss religion's right but, relationship between religion and human. Also, in reading, it is talking about the characteristics and functions of their religion. Religious features include social cohesion , social control , providing meaning purpose. For the religious theory, there are social conflict, social constructionism, social pluralism, social psychology. About the relationship with religion and other factors. Sex, race, health, education and health.

I am interested in "Language" of factors affecting to culture. Language and culture is mutual. Depends on language, culture change, vice versa. A long time ago, I listened that the development of Korea vocabulary about color result from environmental factors of the four seasons. Like it said, the environment (the cultural element) influences to the language. Also, closely in the information society, the vocabulary is very shorter between youth these days. In Korea, going to the Information Society and demanded "immediacy", the shorter of vocabulary is a short causes short to read.

In reading of religion, women have higher possibility concerned to religious participation than man. It's said women is higher cohesion than men. But I have been to the church since I was born. In my experience, I think you don't have to talk the discussion of participation. You can know if you see the number of South Korea minister. do you think discussions women than men, women than men in religion is meaningful discussions?
I didn't know about that the development of Korea vocabulary about color results from environment that has four seasons. That sounds quite persuadable and interesting. Like your statements, 'language' is a factor of culture.
ReplyDeleteAs the reading material say, a culture can be changed by users of that culture and I think you recognize that feature of culture.
As you comment at QUESTION, the number of women ministors are fewer than that of men generally. According to reading material, some kind of religion (I think almost all of religion) has so-called 'bible' or 'rule' that only men could be a leader, regardless of the facts that women have higher possibility to cohesion or participation. Well, however a century chages, that discussions are not treated enough yet.
