This time gotten material was a society materials related to culture and religion.

 About Culture

Culture is divided in the narrow sense and broad sense.
In the broad sense means all what we live, In the narrow sense means that the past has been applied to only small number of people in Europe "High Culture".
The concept of culture seems important. Because, it is also divided by the degree of like of the native. It is Ethnocentrism and Cultural Relativism.
Ethnocentrism, taken to have too pride in their own culture.
Cultural relativism people disdain their own culture and respect other country culture. The example of Ethnocentrism country is China.
Because they have thought “We are emperor nation” or “Our country is center of the world”. But, Many Korea people are Cultural relativism.
A lot of korean disparage themselves. This reality is so regrettable.
I have a question in this point.
If the culture of a particular country with the immoral feature, Should we are given to respect its culture?
How to find a solution?

About Religion

The material for the religion, not only the social characteristics of religion, position is divided among them, it was also out of social integration contents of the religion, which has been described, such as health.
I have gone to church during the 20 years. I feel that Christianity is always new.
It was amazing that offset and sects there are several.
The most impressive was theory, was the story of relation of religion and women. Because, actually when I go to the church, I can see that the woman exist more than man in church. Women in the church community, it was too surprising because women respect a more active role.

  1. Your question is interested to me ! In the readings, there is the sentence written that ‘Efforts for social justice and equality must often overcome cultural patterns that lead dominants and subordinates to blindly accept existing social orders as natural or inevitable’. I think we try to change the immoral culture to proper culture, not to accept blindly the immoral culture.
