Conflict Theory

Summary

 Conflict theory considers society as a product of conflict. Conflicts between the proletariat and the bourgeoisie, the activation of the capitalist struggle, and the conflict between women and men to obtain the status of women are seen as conflict theories. 

 This text contains information on the origin of the collision theory. The conflict theory that started from the idea of the ancient Chinese philosophers that the coercive punishment maintains society, and the idea of the ancient Greek philosophers that strong power of leaders can control people more stable has come to the present day and has argued that the struggle for the interests of the people creates and maintains the social structure.

Question

 I admit that competition contributes to social development. However, it is doubtful whether competition helps to maintain society. Usually, maintenance means a continuation of a state of peace, but if the competition continues, isn't it a state of peace?
