Demography

Summary

Demographics have been used for various purposes from the past. It was primarily for political purposes in the past, but it is also used for commercial purposes in modern times. The most basic indicators of demographics are birth and death. In this text, we introduce the terms used to examine indicators and the theories that can predict population change based on them. It also covers various causes of population change. This includes, for example, the growth of a particular city, changes in the environment caused by the development of the industry, and the growth direction of the city.

Question

After reading this text, I realized the importance of people who are researching the population. It can be inferred that demographics are based on all policies or actions that target humans. But one question arises. In modern times, demographics are made using advanced statistical techniques and computer systems. And I know this is a complex task. How have these statistics been made in the past? Have they ever made a policy based on data other than statistics?
