Q : What kind of tools and actions available to movements can we think of? Which of them have been brought by the Internet?A : I think social movements appear in two ways. It is violence and nonviolent social movement.
In the past, violent demonstrations such as weapons and firearms have occurred. Also, nonviolent protests have occurred.
On the other hand, new forms of social movements are emerging due to the development of the Internet. In korea, The portal site 'daum' provides a service called 'agora'. in agora, People talk about what is socially problematic, and sometimes they do sign demonstrations. This type of social movement is a simple activity, but it is suitable for attracting a large number of people on the Internet with a large power.
