1.
What races do you think exist?
-
I think that there is only one race
around the world at present. They are the same species but have different
appearances and skin colors. I think they are all equal. We should not
discriminate against others in appearance and color.
2.
Is Korea becoming multiethnic? Why?
-
Originally, Korea was famous as a
single nation. However, with the rapid progress of globalization, people of
different ethnic backgrounds came to live in Korea. Currently, three out of 100
are foreigners in Korea. We are a multiethnic nation. But Koreans do not admit
it, and they often discriminate. We need to improve that perception to move to
advanced countries.
3.
How are foreigners treated in Korea?
-
Most Koreans do not discriminate
directly against foreigners these days. However, some people make direct
discrimination as well as indirect discrimination. When Koreans travel to other
countries, Koreans are often ignored. Koreans have a lot of complaints about
it. But we also ignore the foreigners in Korea. If we do not correct this
behavior, we will not be able to make a better society.
