Globalization has made our society more complex. We can easily meet and interact with people of more countries, races, and cultures than ever before. And we may feel like belonging to a community. This is possible because of the development of communication technology and the construction of a huge global network due to the digital revolution. In the future society, it is expected that a global village that is more cohesive than now can be born due to the influence of globalization.
An example of subculture in Korea is zombie movie. Originally, zombies were not commonly used in movies. Most people feel realistic and uninterested in their existence. Therefore, this was a kind of culture that only partly enjoyed. By the way, in the first half of this year, two zombie movies have been released, one of which has achieved recordings of 10 million viewers. I think that this shows how the small subculture grows and becomes mainstream.
