Novel <1984>
I want to introduce the 1984 novel, George Orwell, the novel's famous novelist.
The main word in the novel is ' Big Brother.'
Big Brother is a system that watches everything.
Big Brother knows what I eat and what I do.
Such a system exists to monitor whether there is no one who behaves in antipatriotic or someone who wants to act contrary to national thought.
The Big Brother in the novel is set up virtually.
Over time, however, this virtual reality is likely to become reality.
These systems, which control all of the individuals, will have advantages as well. But I think there are more disadvantages.
The biggest problem is the invasion of privacy.
Individuals have privacy to be protected. However, if this Big Brother becomes real, privacy will not be protected.
If we live in a system of monitoring and controlling everything, we will have to live a mechanical life.
I want to know the students' thoughts about Big Brother.
